A total of 19 students and students from the University of Hong Kong conducted an educational field trip to Ethiopia jointly organized by two programs of the Faculty of Arts (African Studies Program and Department of Linguistics) that have field trips in their respective curriculum.
During the journey, members of the group were able to work with students and professors of the Ethiopian universities they met on the various academic projects that they had prepared beforehand (Addis Ababa University, Aksum University, Bahr Dar University and the University of Gondar). The group was also able to visit the ancient capital cities of the country (Axum, Gondar and Lalibela) to get a glimpse of the long and complex history of the African continent.
