The President of Mauritius is expected to resign this week - according to the island country's prime minister, Pravind Jugnauth. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim has been accused of using a bank card provided by a charity to make personal purchases worth tens of thousands of dollars. Gurib-Fakim has agreed to step down after the country's 50-year independence celebrations. The president of Mauritius has since denied any wrongdoing and said she had refunded all the money. Gurib-Fakim became the first woman to be appointed president of Mauritius.
