Militant attacks in Africa increased 40% in 2017

Well, violent attacks linked to extremist Islamic groups increased by nearly 40 percent in Africa last year.That's according to a recent report released by the U.S.-based African Centre for Strategic Studies. The think tank also reports that fatalities linked to these attacks rose 9-percent in 2017. CGTN's William Denselow takes a closer look at the figures.
