INTERVIEW: The South Sudan crisis

The United Nations Security Council discussed a possible renewal of sanctions on South Sudan on Tuesday. Currently, the sanctions are set to expire on 31 May. The UN placed travel bans and asset freezes on senior South Sudanese officials in 2015 after they were accused of fueling conflict.
