◙ Wondo Genet Agricultural Research Center (WGARC) is one of the fourteen Federal Research Centers administered under Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR). The Center has been upgraded from sub-center level into a full-fledged center in 2009 by the Institute, being center of excellence for aromatic, medicinal, and bio energy plants. It is located about 267 km south of Addis Ababa with altitude ranging between 1760 and 1920 meters above sea level. It has a mean annual rainfall and temperature of 1372 mm and 19 °C, respectively.
◙ WGARC is found under the Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources (WGCF-NR), which is Hawassa University’s School of Forestry in SNNPR.
