China has defended its decision to reverse a ban on the trade in tiger bones and rhino horns. Beijing says the partial lifting only affects tigers and rhinos bred on farms.

The Government further says the animal parts will ONLY be used for scientific, medical and cultural use only.

Egypt foreign debt reaches $92.64 billion

Egypt's central bank has announced that foreign debt reached $92.64 billion in June 2018. This is a 17% increase on the year before. The central bank has also announced that it will borrow another $16.7 billion in the 2018-2019 fiscal year. $10 billion of this will be used to pay off old debts. CGTN's Yasser Hakim takes a look at whether Egypt's debts are spiralling out of control.
